Kathmandu: A meeting of the Central Committee of Acharya Bandhu Samaj Nepal has decided to submit a petition to the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police for action against a shoe manufacturing company named Acharya.

The meeting of Acharya Samaj held in Kathmandu has decided to submit a petition to the Central Investigation Bureau of Police for action against the shoe company. The central president of the society, Baburam Acharya, said that action will be taken after finding out which company produced the shoes that went viral on social media, or why they were placed in the promotional materials in such a way as to denigrate the Acharyas.

He informed that he has also demanded to play a role in removing the names of Acharyas placed on the shoes immediately and to apologize to the company that used the name in such a way as to insult the name. In the same meeting, it was decided to adopt other legal procedures if the police did not take action against the company.

Similarly, the leaders of the Acharya Samaj have raised issues such as filing a petition with a claim for compensation in the court, filing a case in an international court, etc. Advocate Mukti Acharya has been assigned to lodge a complaint with the police, according to the Acharya Samaj. The company has also named Acharya on the T-shirt.
